SACS Visit

Library is preparing for the SACS Reaffirmation visit during the week of March 23rd through March 25th. Public service points will distribute WRITE t-shirts to the students a week before the visit. Students make sure that you receive your t-shirts.

 

Fall 2009 Library Evaluation

The Library User Satisfaction Survey results for Fall 2009 are now available on the Library's Web site under Library Evaluations. We thank our students, faculty and staff for participating. We will have more information about the survey results in the next edition of the Library Blog.

 

Evaluation of the Library orientation and Bibliographic Instructions

Library  has initiated a Pre and Post Test project to gauge the effectiveness of its instructional services. Results will be published on this blog soon.
 
 

 
Tennessee State University has a Quality Enhancement Plan -- WRITE QEP or Quality Enhancement Plan focuses on one aspect of student learning in some special way fro a period of five to ten years with the intent of enhancing students' educational achievement.

WRITE  is a program that provides a broad range of support for students, faculty and programs to enhance and refine writing competency throughout the upper level curriculum. Through WRITE  students will have support to improve their writing after First-year Composition. WRITE electronic portfolios will compile their best writing and show their progress towards becoming excellent writers. The new WRITE  studio will provide students with a space to develop their portfolios with mentors, tutors and advisors. to learn more, please go to www.tnstate.edu/qep.

DID YOU KNOW? -- Dr. S. Allen

 

TSU alumni Dr. S. Allen, professor of Neurology and Director of the Harvard Foundation at Harvard University, the Consul General of Sweden in Boston and New England and Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience at the Karolinska Nobel Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and Dr. David L. Evans, Senior Admissions Officer at Harvard College witnessed President Barack Obama receiving the most prestigious award, the Nobel Peace Prize on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.
