Art is one of the
most intense and personal forms of expressing oneself. Vivian Walker's
pieces are under-painted in acrylic, and then an oil wash is used to
enhance the composition, and to establish depth and dimension. Most of her
paintings are done using a wet-on-wet technique. Vivian Walker is a
painter who embraces "SHEER REALISM". She received her formal training
from the University of Louisville. majoring in Business Administration and
Art History. As a certified art instructor, Walker has opportunities
to share her unique art techniques with hundred of students who attend her
workshops and classes.
In 1996, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, chose
Vivian's "Smokey Mountains" as part of their "Artists of Tennessee"
collection.
